04 The Freeist - where you belong [inner freedom]
You’re worthy of your choices. All the opportunities start from your inner sense of worthiness.

Last time I listed you the different areas around the world and what may be some good spots depending on what you like.
However, that’s not enough.
I came up with The Freeist concept almost three years ago [and still the book isn’t ready, right]. I thought broadening individual freedom was straightforward for everyone: you take it and do it.
At first, I listed the top 10 pillars - areas to fulfill to have a quick escape plan or to build such a setup that will just upgrade your own life right away. No need to suffer. I thought that’s it, that’s The Freeist setup.
I gave a related presentation in Prague at one premium members-only bar. 45yo+ C-levels. How few of them live what they want… Strange.
Another one - full house at library Tbilisi place. Here we had a conflict about the capacity for emotional self-responsibility and further sovereignty with the audience…
I talked to people and tried to understand the way they lived in the first place. Only through comparison and connection with more people, did I learn, that the freedom I built has been pretty unusual [and I don’t mean that I can live anywhere, but the ownership of my own life].
And here comes that strange thing.
The problem isn’t that there wouldn’t be Bali or Dubai or any-place-you-think-of with most likely a lower cost of living, higher safety, quality of life, and such than most people have.
The problem is to leave.
I don’t mean physically or because of the regulations. That may be annoying, but you somehow can [in most cases].
Nor I don’t talk about you don’t wanna leave because everything is purely awesome and beautiful in your life. Most people just get what they got. [I guess you wouldn’t read my words if all I wrote were obvious to you, then I congratulate you and please, let’s be friends.] For many it’s difficult to put the effort into pursuing anything better for themselves for certain reasons. And well. I spent those last three years digging deeper into *why the hell people are not capable of improving their lives*. I was really fascinated. Especially when some live in some nonsense hell.
Here it’s time to mention that I completely respect that not everyone is interested, nor everyone even has the awareness, that things could be different in the first place. I do not even sell some particular lifestyle that you should live in a certain way. The concept is contrarly about understanding oneself, and making conscious, intentional choices for own benefit to pursue what one intends to have in life. To selfishly upgrade oneself to fulfill own purpose to the degree one is genuinely interested in.
But that’s the point.
Most people aren’t really interested in their own life.
You could have read what people say on their deathbed.
You can learn about the shortness of life from Seneca [or me] and be driven by the fear that life is short if you choose such a motivation.
You can leave your country out of offense towards your government and find another less abusive one elsewhere.
Certainly, but then…
Is this really your point?
Internally, is this what will make you feel accomplished?
Will this ever feel enough for you?
And how about if I say that one can just purely…
treasure own life?
What if I tell you that you may honor your life, your effort, all the energy you spend, the money you make, every achievement, every idea you have, every moment you’re alive?
That you may treasure your own presence - to be around yourself [if you enjoy it yourself :)]?
That you may respect your being, truthfully?
Because… If you do - everything else sorts out.
Yeah, imagine you choose yourself, not to prove to others that you deserve to be alive, but because you value your own being, fully.
Once you do - it all figures out.
No more need to explain yourself.
No need to keep around people you’re actually not interested in, or you don’t wanna have around in the first place, anyone unreliable, anyone who puts you down. Nope.
No more government imposing their new nonsense on you. You pack and leave because you won’t find it appropriate for anyone to abuse you. [we allow only such abuse from someone else to the degree we silently abuse ourselves in the first place]
To be in the right place where you belong, to be in your truthfully right place is to allow yourself existence - not from the position ‘above’ as the permission, but with genuine joy for yourself, with genuine love towards yourself, with a genuine interest in yourself. I mean truly honoring yourself internally.
There are many cool places in the world and you’ll certainly find the one that works particularly for yourself, but this genuine internal self-respect is what makes a difference. That’s that joy you wake up tomorrow because you treasure yourself. When you know where you’re headed - and you are headed to pursue your own true interests and wants. You enjoy both the journey as well as you treasure the goal, so as your effort. All for your pure internal selfish desire, because you’re worthy of allowing yourself to live, finally.
You may be seeking happiness around, and certainly, you may experience pleasure from connection with people whom you value and admire [that’s important too!], but do you let yourself experience pleasure in the first place?
Here I note I am aware it has a lot of issues why you haven’t treasured yourself [if you haven’t…], but I do not desire to focus on inner offenses, but purely on the ownership of own life. The freedom coming with an adult state is that the life is yours. You’re responsible for yourself, your choices, your emotional state, and your actions. And what you’re not changing you’re actually choosing. Everything that’s in your life, your desire to suffer for some reason, that’s your responsibility. No one else is coming here to fix it.
And so, today, I’d love to wish you to start [unless yet], to allow yourself to live fully. Not to prove that you can out of some rebellious state. But to truly live fully as you do treasure your existence. All those ‘always wanted to try’ have their place now.
And read some more Nathaniel Branden.

Favorite quote from a book
Man cannot escape the responsibility of choice. If he chooses to do nothing, that is his choice, and it will have consequences for his life. If he chooses to surrender his mind to the authority of others and to follow them blindly, that is his decision and he will pay the price of it. A retreat from life is fully as much a decision as a commitment to life, and fully as much the responsibility of the person who decides.
